Skiing & winter sports

Plose, Jochtal-Gitschberg, Kronplatz. Three Dolomite ski areas reachable in less than an hour. Sledding for children, ski touring for nature lovers.

The Plose ski area can be reached from the village in twenty minutes by ski bus. With 42 kilometres of slopes, most of them perfect for leisurely skiers, and the Trametsch, South Tyrol's longest valley run, it also offers a challenge for the more experienced. For a change of scenery, the ski areas of Jochtal, Kronplatz and the Sellaronda circuit are all within an hour's drive.

Plose Forty-two km of piste. The Trametsch runs nine km top-to-bottom. Friendly for families, generous for the confident.

Jochtal-Gitschberg Located to the north, towards the Pustertal Valley. 55 kilometres of slopes, generally quieter on weekdays.

Kronplatz One hour to the east, in the Pustertal Valley. South Tyrol's premier ski mountain. 125 kilometres of slopes for all abilities, from wide cruising runs to challenging black slopes.

Tobogganing RudiRun (Plose) and Erschbaum (Villanders) sled tracks for the children. Lit until 22:00 on weekends.

Season The Plose is open from early December to early April. Cross-country ski trails in the Pustertal Valley from December to March.

Ski bus The bus station, served by bus route 321 to the Plose, is just a five-minute walk from the apartment.
